About

Uniting AgeWell is an organisation of the Uniting Church in Australia and has a long history of providing residential and community services for older Australians. One of Australia’s leading and innovative senior services providers, Uniting AgeWell has 21 sites across Melbourne, Geelong, Bendigo, Northern Tasmania and Southern Tasmania. A team of 2,500 staff and more than 700 volunteers deliver a range of options to support the health and well being of over 7,000 older Australians, including independent and assisted living, home care, social support and therapy programs and residential care communities.

The Challenge

Uniting AgeWell was seeking to implement a single budgeting and reporting solution across the entire organisation in order to efficiently deliver a consolidated financial view. Access to accurate and current data from multiple business systems was also required to support financial and operational decision-making.

The Solution

Uniting AgeWell implemented MAGIQ across its MS Dynamics AX Finance system; the Procura CRM & Clinical system and the PayGlobal Payroll & HR system to meet its budgeting, reporting and analytics requirements. The software is used to report across 150 cost centres and 21 geographically dispersed sites in Melbourne, Geelong, Bendigo, Northern Tasmania and Southern Tasmania.

The Benefit

Improving the visibility of business-critical financial and operational information across the organisation has empowered operational managers. Seamless access to accurate and current data, including occupancy levels, bond levels and funding ratios actively supports management decision-making. The organisation’s budgeting process has also significantly improved with a streamlined and automated process delivering greater accuracy and accountability.
